Recruitment into public secondary schools is by public advertisement. When a cycle opens, the notice appears on this site and in the news list, and applications are made online through the Commission's portal.
Typical requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, Technology or Engineering, or an HND
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
- First School Leaving Certificate
- Evidence of age
- A Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria certificate is an added advantage
Requirements vary by cycle. Always read the advertisement for the cycle you are applying to.
Beware of fraud. The Commission never charges an application fee and has no agents. Any person or website asking you to pay to apply is not acting for the Commission.
